The fourth Ionosfera-M completes Russia's basic operational ionospheric monitoring constellation. Four satellites at complementary inclinations can map the global ionosphere continuously — providing Russia the space weather infrastructure equivalent to what NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center provides to the US and its allies.
