An EchoStar satellite at 110°W adding Ku-band capacity to DISH Network's prime orbital position. Multiple EchoStar satellites co-located at 110°W create a 'multi-satellite neighborhood' — DISH subscribers' dishes can simultaneously receive signals from several spacecraft at the same orbital location, providing more channel capacity than a single satellite could deliver. This co-location strategy enabled DISH to offer HD channels that would have been impossible from a single satellite.
