Bell Canada's latest Nimiq satellite adding 4K Ultra HD capacity for the next generation of Canadian satellite television. Nimiq-6 positions Bell Satellite TV for the transition to 4K sports broadcasting — the application where satellite's nationwide reach and picture quality are most difficult for cable companies to match. Each 4K sports event requires roughly four times the satellite bandwidth of its HD predecessor, making new high-capacity satellites like Nimiq-6 essential infrastructure for the 4K era.
