A classified Russian military data relay satellite in geostationary orbit. The Raduga (Rainbow) satellite family has served as Russia's strategic military communications relay system since the 1970s, supporting Russian strategic nuclear forces, naval communications, and classified government data links. Raduga-1M represents the modernized version of this long-running Russian military satellite series.
