The third NavIC satellite, adding coverage in a critical orbital slot. India's navigation constellation combines geostationary and geosynchronous inclined orbit satellites to achieve stronger signals over the subcontinent than GPS provides — a key design requirement given India's mountainous terrain and dense urban environments where signal obstruction is a persistent challenge.
