Gazprom's most capable satellite, serving Russian corporate, government, and consumer markets. Yamal-401 carries C, Ku, and Ka-band payloads supporting Russia's oil and gas infrastructure communications, Russian government networks, and rural internet access programs. It sits at 90°E, giving it excellent coverage of the Asian portions of Russia where economic activity — and digital isolation — is greatest.
