The newest Astra satellite at 28.2°E, providing additional capacity for Sky UK's expanding service. Astra-2G carries the overflow of Sky UK's growing channel lineup — HD channels, 4K Ultra HD channels, and interactive services that require more bandwidth than the older Astra-2 satellites can provide. Sky's partnership with the 28.2°E position has been unbroken since 1989 — one of the longest-running relationships between a broadcaster and a geostationary orbital slot in history.
