An Indian Ku-band communications satellite supporting India's national direct-to-home television infrastructure. GSAT-15 carries the high-power Ku-band transponders that deliver DTH broadcasting to over 30 million Indian homes with satellite dishes — one of the world's largest direct-to-home subscriber bases. It also hosts India's third GAGAN navigation augmentation payload, further strengthening India's satellite-based aviation navigation network.
