CYGNSS spacecraft #2, part of the eight-satellite GPS-reflectometry constellation. The full constellation revisits any tropical ocean point every 7 hours — fast enough to catch rapid intensification events that turn a Category 1 into a Category 4 overnight, the deadliest and most forecast-resistant phenomenon in tropical meteorology.
