One of the early operational Jilin-1 satellites launched in 2017, contributing to the constellation's initial expansion beyond its founding four-satellite mission. By this point Chang Guang had established the basic production and launch cadence that would eventually scale into the mass-deployment model responsible for over 130 Jilin-1 satellites reaching orbit by the mid-2020s.
