A Telesat high-throughput Ka-band satellite at 63°W providing South American broadband. Telstar-19V's Ka-band capacity serves the Brazilian residential broadband market — South America's largest. At over 8,000 kg it was the heaviest commercial satellite launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 at time of flight, demonstrating SpaceX's capability to lift the heaviest commercial GEO payloads that Boeing, Airbus, and Thales Alenia manufacture. The satellite's throughput transformed satellite broadband availability across Brazil.
