Gonets-M 22, part of Russia's sovereign satellite messaging constellation — functionally similar to ORBCOMM's American network but built entirely within Russia's domestic space industry. This satellite provides message relay for remote monitoring stations across Russia's Arctic and Siberian territories, where no cellular network will ever economically reach.
