Yaogan-34 (02), the second satellite bearing the Yaogan-34 designation, launched in 2022 into the same 63.4° high-altitude orbital regime as its predecessor. Two solo Yaogan-34 deployments at an ELINT-characteristic inclination, rather than the triplet formations typical of that orbital band, continues to suggest China may be evaluating alternative naval surveillance architectures beyond the established three-satellite triangulation model.
