Eutelsat's Very High Throughput Satellite — with over 500 Gbps of Ka-band capacity, the highest-throughput geostationary satellite ever operated in Europe. Konnect VHTS uses hundreds of spot beams across Europe and Africa to deliver residential broadband at speeds of up to 500 Mbps — faster than most European fiber connections. Launched in 2022, it represents Eutelsat's most direct response to Starlink's European expansion, offering comparable speeds to some LEO services from the reliability and coverage consistency of geostationary orbit.
