GPS BIII-6 (PRN 28), part of GPS's most significant hardware redesign in decades — the generation built after Selective Availability was already permanently switched off in 2000, giving these satellites a 15-year design life, the longest of any GPS generation, reflecting decades of accumulated evidence that GPS satellites routinely outlast their original engineering assumptions by a wide margin.
