The first satellite of Chang Guang's next-generation Kuanfu-02 wide-swath series, launched August 25, 2023 on a Ceres-1 rocket. Kuanfu-02A represents a dramatic mass reduction from the original 1,200 kg Kuanfu-01 generation down to just 230 kg, while simultaneously improving resolution to 0.5 meters across a 93-mile swath — smaller, cheaper, and sharper all at once, the same iterative improvement pattern that has characterized every generation of the Jilin-1 constellation since 2015.
