Companion satellite to Tianhui 5A, forming the latest generation formation-flying mapping pair in China's continuously evolving Tianhui program. Nearly two decades after the first Tianhui satellite reached orbit in 2010, the program has matured from single-satellite optical stereo imaging into sophisticated multi-satellite radar interferometry — a trajectory that mirrors the broader arc of Chinese military space capability development across almost every satellite category.
