NuSat-44, part of Satellogic's commercial Earth observation constellation, named after Maria Mitchell, the first professional female astronomer in the United States, who discovered a comet in 1847 and became the first woman elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. Satellogic names most of its satellites after historical women scientists.
