Qianfan-9 ('Thousand Sails'), also known as SpaceSail or G60 Starlink, one of China's most ambitious answers yet to SpaceX's broadband dominance — a Shanghai-backed constellation explicitly modeled on Starlink's mass-production playbook. This satellite is one of over 500 satellites launched toward an eventual goal of nearly 14,000 by 2030 — a number that, if achieved on schedule, would require averaging more than seven satellite launches every single day for the rest of the decade.
