Jilin-1 Kuanfu-02B 4 is the fourth of six identical wide-swath Earth observation satellites in this batch, launched together September 20, 2024 aboard a Long March 2D from Taiyuan as part of China's Jilin-1 commercial remote-sensing constellation, operated by Chang Guang Satellite Technology. Its wide-field imaging design covers more ground per orbital pass than higher-resolution Jilin-1 variants, making it well suited to applications like agricultural and environmental monitoring across large areas. The constellation as a whole has grown into one of the most ambitious commercial Earth-imaging fleets in the world, with Chang Guang continuing a fast launch cadence toward ever-more-frequent global coverage.
