Kinéis-3A is one of five satellites launched November 4, 2024 aboard a Rocket Lab Electron mission from Mahia, New Zealand, the third of five dedicated launches completing the 25-satellite Kinéis IoT constellation. Descended from CNES's Argos satellite-tracking heritage dating to 1978, each 28-kilogram nanosatellite in the fleet carries electric propulsion and operates from a 400-mile orbit chosen to compress observation latency down to roughly ten minutes, supporting near-real-time tracking of connected devices for customers in shipping, logistics, and environmental monitoring worldwide.
