Kinéis-3B completes the five-satellite group launched November 4, 2024 aboard a Rocket Lab Electron mission from Mahia, New Zealand, the third of five dedicated launches deploying Kinéis's full 25-satellite constellation. Built as the successor to CNES's Argos satellite-tracking system, the fleet's 28-kilogram nanosatellites use electric propulsion in a 400-mile orbit specifically chosen to shrink the gap between passes over a given location from hours down to about ten minutes, supporting near-real-time global IoT tracking for logistics, maritime, and environmental customers.
