Lead satellite of the Shijian-30 trio, launched mid-November 2025 as part of an unusually active year for China's Shijian technology demonstration program — six Shijian launches in 2025 alone, compared to just one in each of the two prior years. The Shijian-30 group arrived weeks after the culmination of one of the program's most consequential missions to date: Shijian-25's world-first satellite-to-satellite refueling of the long-dormant Shijian-21, an operation the US Space Force monitored closely using its own GSSAP inspector satellites.
