Third satellite completing the Shijian-30 trio, launched alongside its two formation-mates in November 2025. The Shijian program's stated mission — to 'put into practice' or establish best practices for new satellite technologies — has in recent years increasingly overlapped with capabilities carrying clear military significance, including robotic satellite servicing, in-orbit refueling, and the proximity operations first demonstrated by Shijian-21's 2022 towing of a defunct BeiDou satellite into a graveyard orbit.
