The third WGS satellite with improved flexibility for routing traffic between different frequency bands. WGS-3 completed the initial planned constellation and provided coverage over Europe, the Middle East, and Asia — the primary areas of US military operations throughout the 2010s. Its digital channelizers can split its bandwidth into over 1,900 circuits simultaneously.
