The fourth WGS satellite, built to an enhanced Block II design with 4.9 GHz of instantaneous bandwidth. WGS-4 supports operations in the Pacific Command area of responsibility — covering the vast Pacific Ocean from Hawaii to the South China Sea, a region that has grown in strategic importance as US military posture shifts toward the Indo-Pacific.
