The third Global Xpress satellite, completing worldwide Ka-band coverage. Inmarsat-5 F3 covers the Americas and Atlantic, serving commercial aviation across the North Atlantic corridor — the busiest oceanic airspace on Earth, where hundreds of transatlantic flights every day depend on satellite communication for both passenger Wi-Fi and safety communications. The satellite enables real-time aircraft health monitoring, automatic weather routing, and crew communication with airline operations centers.
