An Intelsat Ku-band satellite at 45°W providing direct-to-home broadcasting capacity for Brazil. IS-36 is a dedicated Brazilian DTH satellite — all its capacity focused on delivering Brazilian and international television channels directly to Brazilian home satellite dishes. Brazil has over 30 million DTH subscribers, making it one of the world's largest satellite television markets and one of Intelsat's most important single-country positions.
