Intelsat's most advanced Epic high-throughput satellite yet, covering the Americas and Atlantic with both Ka-band high-throughput spot beams and a hosted Space Force payload. IS-40E represents Intelsat's convergence of commercial broadband and government communications — the spacecraft simultaneously provides commercial Ka-band internet services and hosts a classified US government payload, a revenue model that helps offset satellite costs. The Epic Ka capacity serves commercial maritime, aeronautical, and enterprise broadband across the Americas.
