The sixth and final satellite of the original December 2018 Yunhai-2 launch, completing China's first operational GNSS radio occultation weather constellation. Yunhai-2 01F and its five siblings now orbit at roughly 500 miles, having converged from their initially split deployment altitudes through an extended series of maneuvers in 2019. The constellation's data contributes to the World Meteorological Organization's global observing system alongside its assessed military applications for the PLA.
