The first BeiDou-3 inclined geosynchronous orbit satellite, bringing next-generation navigation signals to the IGSO component. BeiDou-3 IGSO satellites provide the B1C signal compatible with GPS L1C, enabling receiver manufacturers to build single chips that work with both BeiDou and GPS — dramatically lowering the cost barrier for adopting BeiDou and explaining its rapid international uptake.
