First of the Jilin-1 Gaofen-02 sub-series, part of the constellation's mid-generation high-resolution imaging fleet. The Gaofen-02 line sits between the original founding satellites and the later mass-produced Gaofen-03D generation, representing an intermediate step in Chang Guang's continuous iteration toward smaller, cheaper, more numerous satellites without sacrificing image quality.
