Part of the Jilin-1 Gaofen-02 sub-series, one of several satellites in this generation contributing to China's commercial high-resolution imaging capacity. As Chang Guang's constellation grew through the early 2020s, the Gaofen-02 line's imagery increasingly fed both civilian commercial applications and, per most Western analyst assessments, China's military-civil fusion intelligence architecture.
