One of the Jilin-1 Gaofen-03 satellites launched in the 2020 expansion phase, contributing to China's steadily growing commercial imaging capacity ahead of the constellation's later mass-production surge. This generation of Gaofen-03 satellites validated the design and manufacturing processes that would later be scaled up dramatically for the Gaofen-03D sub-series.
