First of the Jilin-1 Gaofen-03 ('High Resolution') sub-series — the most numerous and operationally important branch of the entire Jilin-1 program, with over 60 satellites eventually launched in this line. Gaofen-03D satellites deliver 75 cm panchromatic resolution from 330 miles altitude, engineered around a deliberate design philosophy: lighter satellites mean more per launch, which means faster constellation build-out and dramatically compressed revisit times without a proportional budget increase.
