Third satellite in the original Kuanfu wide-swath sub-series, launched May 5, 2022 alongside a large batch of Gaofen-03D satellites on the same Long March 2D mission. Kuanfu-01C rounds out the first-generation wide-field imaging fleet before Chang Guang introduced the significantly lighter and more capable Kuanfu-02 generation, which cut satellite mass from 1,200 kg down to 230 kg while improving resolution to 0.5 meters.
