NuSat-42, part of Satellogic's commercial Earth observation constellation, named after Marie-Louise Dubreil-Jacotin, the French mathematician who became the first woman appointed as a full professor at a French university, working on fluid dynamics and wave theory in the mid-20th century. Satellogic names most of its satellites after historical women scientists — a deliberate, ongoing pattern across the entire fleet.
