Vietnam's second satellite, providing additional capacity as Vietnam's digital economy has grown. VINASAT-2 supports Vietnam's expanding satellite television market, rural broadband programs, and maritime communications for Vietnam's extensive fishing fleet — which operates across some of the most contested maritime territory in the world in the South China Sea, where reliable communications are both practically and strategically important.
