An SES satellite at 40.5°W providing C-band and Ku-band services for Latin America and the Caribbean. SES-6 is one of SES's primary vehicles for the Latin American market — distributing Brazilian and Latin American television programming across the continent while providing internet backbone and enterprise data services. Its C-band wide-area coverage reaches remote communities across Brazil's Amazon basin where smaller Ku-band beams cannot economically serve.
