One of the last BeiDou-2 GEO satellites, maintaining the regional navigation network as China transitions to BeiDou-3's global capability. BeiDou-2's GEO satellites continue to serve Chinese users while BeiDou-3's MEO and IGSO satellites provide global positioning — the two systems operate in parallel, with GEO providing the strongest local signals and MEO/IGSO enabling worldwide coverage.
