NuSat-41, part of Satellogic's commercial Earth observation constellation, named after Cecilia Payne-Gaposchkin — the astronomer whose 1925 doctoral thesis first proved stars are made mostly of hydrogen and helium, a finding so radical her advisor initially made her call it 'spurious'. Satellogic names most of its satellites after historical women scientists — a deliberate, ongoing pattern across the entire fleet rather than a one-off tribute.
