The second ViaSat-3 satellite, covering Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Viasat-3 F2 learned from F1's reflector deployment issue, incorporating design modifications to reduce the same risk. Despite the F1 setback, Viasat pressed forward with its multi-satellite strategy, betting that its GEO high-throughput architecture can compete with LEO broadband constellations like Starlink in markets where the price and latency tradeoffs favor established GEO operators.
