The first second-generation Tianlian satellite, providing dramatically higher data rates than Tianlian-1 for China's increasingly ambitious human spaceflight program. Tianlian-2 supports the full bandwidth requirements of the Tiangong Space Station — multiple simultaneous video streams, large science data downloads, and continuous command uplink — as China ramps up both crewed missions and station utilization.
