The third second-generation Tianlian satellite, working toward full global data relay coverage. Tianlian 2-03 covers the Atlantic and South American sectors, filling geographic gaps in the first-generation constellation. China's space station program is now permanently crewed, making continuous communications not optional but operationally essential — a crew medical emergency or critical system fault requires immediate contact with ground teams.
