NuSat-39, part of Satellogic's commercial Earth observation constellation, named after Tikvah Alper — the South African biophysicist whose radiation research helped identify the infectious agent behind prion diseases. Satellogic names most of its satellites after historical women scientists — a deliberate, ongoing pattern across the entire fleet rather than a one-off tribute.
